This music video was a collaboration with singer/songwriter Kerensa Mason, combining a dark, minimalist aesthetic with experimental usage of projections, lighting and practical effects. The final piece, representing two sides of Kerensa’s psyche and the conflict between them, aims to be equal parts haunting, mesmerising and atmospheric.
Building this piece took a long process of collaboration with Kerensa, evolving it from a basic concept to the complex web of metaphorical imagery you see in final piece. Doing so effectively, with only a small budget in a single “black box” space, meant bringing out every filming trick we had added to our arsenal thus far. We were proud of the result, and the response from Kerensa’s fans was incredible – it seriously made all of the hard work worthwhile.
